My Twitter Follow Back Policy

Hi,

Many thanks for taking the time to follow me on twitter, I really hope that you find my tweets interesting and useful.

If you have just followed me because you think what I have to say is cool, then there is no need to read on. And, of course, if you have followed me because I have followed you first you can ignore this!

I appreciate that it is a standard practice to follow someone on twitter to give them a nudge to follow you back (heck, I do it!), so I just want to take a few moments (and few more than 140 characters) to explain my “twitter follow back policy”.

I don’t just follow anyone that follows me, so if your reason for following me is JUST to get me to follow you back, then that may not happen. Unfortunately in this world of information overload I need to be a little more discerning than just following anyone who follows me willy nilly.

I will look at your account and your profile and if I think what you are doing is related to me, interesting or just really cool, I will follow you back and probably retweet and favourite your stuff.

If you have followed me recently and I haven’t yet followed you back, it can take me a few days to get round to it. Please feel free to unfollow and re-follow me to give me a nudge.

Please don’t be offended if I choose not to follow you back, I do have to be a little picky and I hope you do continue to follow me but, of course, if you choose not to then that is cool too.

Once again many thanks for the follow and I hope you find what I have to say interesting.
