Mindfulness is a HOT topic right now, with Mindfulness Based CBT becoming one of the most sought -after therapeutic applications of the moment.

Mindfulness and NLP go hand in hand and by learning about Mindfulness you can improve your own NLP skills and have additional approaches that can improve your success rate with clients.

What is Mindfulness?
“Mindfulness means paying attention in a particular way; On purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgmentally.” – Jon Kabat-Zinn

Although Mindfulness originated from Buddhist meditation practices, they have a long history of secular applications.

Clinically Mindfulness based therapies have been proven to be very effective with:

  • Chronic pain
  • Stress
  • Depression and suicidal behaviour
  • Substance abuse and addictive behaviour
  • Obsessive compulsive disorder
  • Anxiety

It is fast becoming an essential tool in any therapist (and coach’s) toolkit.

I have been studying and practicing Mindfulness for 15 years, originally through Buddhism and later through therapeutic applications. I have been using it in combination with, and alongside traditional NLP and hypnotherapy techniques with clients for as long as I have been involved in coaching and therapy.

I have personally used Mindfulness based techniques (on myself and clients for)

  • Weight Loss
  • Sleep difficulties
  • Stress and anxiety (including phobias)
  • Sports performance

On this training course you will learn:

  • What Mindfulness is
  • Mindfulness exercises to use on yourself and clients
  • How to combine Mindfulness with common NLP and hypnotherapy approaches and techniques

Date: 6/7 March 2010
