The Grauniad?

For those of you that don’t know “The Grauniad” is an affectionate name given to The (Manchester) Guardian newspaper, as it is famous for making terrible spelling mistakes (or at least, was, until they moved to computer printing).

I am thinking of renaming this blog The Grauniad, as I have had several comments recently from readers about my atrocious spelling!

It is true, my typing is awful and exasperated by the fact I play a little game with myself when I write this blog; I sit down, blank my mind and start to type. Once I run out of things to say on a particular blog, I quickly post it and not change it in any way. This includes the spelling!

But, to avoid such complaints in the future I will write this in Word first (other word processing packages are available. And I recommend you find one…) and run a spell-check!
